Programs

Three programs that compound: trees hold soil, soil holds water, water grows the livelihoods that keep the trees.

01 · Reforestation

Hillside reforestation

We raise native species in village nurseries, then plant them on the slopes that need them most, and tend them through the vulnerable early years that most schemes skip.

Survival, not saplings, is the number we report. Last year it was 87 percent.

02 · Water

Watershed recovery

Reforested slopes hold rain instead of shedding it. Springs that had run dry for a generation come back, and with them, water for the valleys downstream through the dry season.

We map every spring before and after, and the maps are public.

03 · Livelihoods

Agroforestry

Trees paired with crops mean the land pays its way while it heals. Families get fruit, fodder, shade and income, and a reason to keep the forest standing long after we’ve gone.

The land that earns is the land that lasts.
